One thing that we have faced in our own personal lives is trying to teach people about Bangladesh and that there is more to it than floods, poverty and garment industries. It’s not a surprise that Bangladesh is the least visited country in the world and has the lowest number of tourists per capita. In spite of government attempts to resolve this matter, there has been no real consequence and that led us to believe that the image Bangladesh projects in today’s world cannot be changed without cultural capital. 

For that to happen we need to have built the essential infrastructure and introduce relevant policies. Akaliko’s long-term commitment to build the audio industry for grassroots also includes a macro view of economics, for Bangladesh. We are certain about our vision of its culture’s overall role to shape a number of industries that will allow Bangladesh to enter the high middle-income country bracket.
